Education is the light that ignites minds. A strong believer in the power of education and the potential of today’s youth, Manikchand has focused on taking education to the grassroots; right from the primary to the postgraduate level.

We established R M Dhariwal English medium school in rural area - Shirur, Pune District in the year 1993 with 35 students and two teachers. Now the strength of the school is 1098 students, with staff strength of over 44. The efforts have borne fruit with 100% results at the board level for three consecutive years. In the year 2000 we were instrumental in starting another English medium school at Pune.

Manikchand Dhariwal Institute of Manangement and Rural Technology (MDIMRT) is another example of fostering modern education to the rural and economically challenged citizens. It is recognized by the University of Pune, while the computer courses are recognized by the government of Maharashtra and board of technical education, Mumbai. The institute also conducts a three-year MBA course of The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik. The degree and diploma courses conducted include MCA, MPM, DBM, DCM, EEDP and MSCIT. Inspite of being the youngest institute based in rural area, the results have been outstanding.
